Work with us
The house is small by design and works with many hands by necessity. Collaborators move in and out of projects as the work requires — musicians, illustrators, photographers, developers, writers.
No open positions are listed right now, and we do not run internships. But we keep a small bench of people we call first, and there is always room in it for the right person.
Roles we anticipate
Session and project-based work — scores, sound identities, live collaborations with the collective. Read music or improvise; either is welcome.
Concept work for Haus Editions and commissioned illustration inside studio projects. A strong, recognisable hand matters more than a particular medium.
Occasional web, interaction and moving-image work. People who can build the small things beautifully and document them for the next pair of hands.
These are not open calls — they are the shapes the work usually takes.
How it usually goes
A short email. Who you are, what you make, a link or two. No cover letters, no forms.
We meet — virtually or over kopi — and talk about the kind of work the house gets and what you would want to do.
If it feels mutual, we start with a small, clearly-scoped piece of paid work. A good pilot becomes a rhythm; a wrong one costs us both little.
Collaborators who fit become the first people we call when a project needs their hands.
Saying hello
Email is the only door — there is no application portal, and nothing is stored on this site. Write to us with a short introduction, a link to your work, and a line about what you would bring to the house.
We read everything and reply to every serious note, usually within a week. Pilots are paid. Unpaid “exposure” work is not a thing the house does.
The bench
Send a short introduction — even if nothing here matches yet. The house keeps a long memory for good people.
